Brandon Brewer has been a teacher for thirteen years.  This is my fourth year teaching at Powell County High School.  Prior to his employment at Powell County, he taught marketing at East Carter High School in Grayson, Kentucky for two years, Montgomery County High School in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and George Rogers Clark County in Winchester, KY.  He currently resides in Powell County with his wife, Gretchen (who is an English teacher at Montgomery County High), and their daughter, Evalee Hope Brewer and son Colburn Jack Brewer.

After graduating Powell County High School, he attended Union College where he received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a double minor in finance and marketing.  After completing an internship with Northwestern Mutual, he enrolled at Morehead State University. He earned a Master's degree in the Arts of Teaching while at Morehead State University.

Brandon has fifteen years of varsity high school coaching experience.  During this time, he has coached both defensive and offensive lineman as well as special teams.  Brandon has coached in fifteen playoff games and twice upsetting the #1 seed.  He has also assisted three different programs to their first home playoff games in over ten years.

As a player, Brandon has experience at every position along the defensive line.  While attending Union College, he was a two time team captain.  Brandon was also named to the Mid-South Conference All Academic Team twice (2001, 2002), Mid-South Conference 2nd Team Defensive Tackle (2002) and Mid-South Conference Defensive Player of the Week in 2002.
