Driver's Permit Verification Forms

Students who turn 16 over the summer and wish to get their driver's permit should call the central office at 663-3300 and ask for Sissy or Sarah to sign up for their license verification form.  You should call no later than 12:00 p.m. Thursday of the week you plan to take your test and you will have to provide the student's name, birthday, and projected test date when you call.

A student must have fewer than 9 unexcused absences in the previous semester and must have passed at least 4 out of 6 classes during the previous semester in order to obtain verification.

If a student qualifies, the verification form will be taken to the courthouse by the Friday that the student will be testing.  All forms expire 60 days after they are written and will remain in the courthouse until the test is taken or the form expires.  If you wait longer than 60 days to take the test, you will have to call back to the office to obtain a new form.

If a student already has a permit and is going to the courthouse to obtain an intermediate license or regular license, no verification form is needed.

When school starts back up in August students will once again be able to sign up for verification at the high school.

If you have further questions, call 663-3300 and ask for Sissy or Sarah.
