We have added new nonfiction electronic books to our library collection.  You can access these by clicking the Capstone Interactive Library link on this page in the links section.

Accelerated Reader

Online AR is offered for our students.  Testing is only allowed to occur at school (that is the company's rule and part of the agreement for us to provide this service).  Parents CAN use the Family Connection link on the right side of this page to view their child's test record, points, and word count.  You can also  sign up for email notification informing you of the results whenever your child completes a test if you desire.  Your child can tell you their username and password or contact the library or your child's teacher for this information.

End of the Year Medals:
AR will end approximately 2 weeks before the last day of school for students.  This allows us to get medals ordered for the awards ceremonies.  Students who earn the following points OR word counts  will receive a medal as long as they keep their comprehension average above 85%.

Kindergarten:  50 points OR 50,000 words
First Grade:  100 points OR 100,000 words
Second Grade:  200,000 words
Third Grade: 300,000 words
Fourth Grade: 400,000 words
Fifth Grade:  500,000 words

You can monitor your child's word count for the school year by logging into Family Connection.
